This girl, Muriel Miller, has been trying to get baptized for over a year. The only thing holding her back was the fact that her father was always out of town on the weekends, and he wanted to baptize her. But he hurt his arm at work and had medical leave for one month, and so she was able to finally take this next important step in her life. It was a beautiful event, and the Spirit was felt strongly. Their family is awesome, and is probably one of my favorite families in Chile.
This week was also Ward Conference, meaning that there were three activities during the week in the chapel: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And it fell to the missionaries to plan and carry out two of them.
So we did it. And it was awesome. But it was a lot of work. I'm glad we don't have to plan that many activities that often.

Editor's note: Ward conference occurs once each year. The purpose is to strengthen faith and testimony, provide gospel instruction, conduct business, and evaluate activity. Whereas ward members normally give the talks (sermons) for a regular Sunday, during Ward Conference area leaders attend and provide the talks / instruction. (Remember that a "ward" is just another name for the local congregation.)
